Margaret Perkins (Peggy) is the Director of Manuscript Editing at the New England Journal of Medicine. Before joining NEJM, she managed the editing of medical journals at the University of Chicago Press, where she was also a contributor to the Chicago Manual of Style and other reference works. She has worked for a number of other journals in science and medicine and has served on several CSE committees and short courses.
