Annette Flanagin, RN, MA, FAAN is Executive Managing Editor and Vice President, Editorial Operations, for JAMA and JAMA Network. She is a Past President of CSE and was given the CSE Award for Meritorious Achievement in 2018. She serves as Executive Director of the International Congresses on Peer Review in Scientific Publication, Co-Director of the NIH-funded African Journal Partnership Program, and is a Fellow in the American Academy of Nursing. She has co-developed guidelines and policies to guide authors, editors, and publishers in scientific publication and is a coauthor of the AMA Manual of Style.
