Carissa Gilman is Director of Cancer Journal Editorial Operations at the American Cancer Society (ACS). She has worked at the ACS for 16 years and was previously the Managing Editor for each of the three ACS journals: Cancer, Cancer Cytopathology, and CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians. Prior to that, she served as the Managing Editor for The American Journal of Human Genetics at Emory University School of Medicine. She is a past-president of the Council of Science Editors and has been a Short Course faculty member since 2009, including representing CSE at the 2016 ABEC meeting in Brazil.
